Islam

This is a research paper which I completed during the summer of 1996. It's material is mainly from Ahmed Dedat's booklets. If you have any comments, please forward them to me.

Once upon a time, Ethiopia used to be a very safe and prosperous country. After revealing the message of Allah to the people, the life of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) and his followers were made extremely difficult in Mecca by the idol worshippers, known as the Kuffar. Mohammed was finally told by Allah to tell his people to immigrate to Ethiopia, known as Habshah in those days. The King of Ethiopia was a Christian, therefore they would not have much trouble living there. His followers immigrated.

When the Kuffar found about this, they sent a party to stop them, which failed. Hence, another party was sent to Ethiopia to 'extradite' these rebellious people. The party soon bought the will of the court men of his the King's court through precious gifts. Finally the Kuffar presented their case in the presence of the King, saying that these Muslims had left the religion of their fore-fathers. Hazrat Ja'fer Tayyaar, the brother of the Fourth Caliph Hazrat Ali, replied as the representative of the Muslims. He told the King of how they used to live like animals and how the Prophet Mohammed brought a new religion Islam, which changed their life.

The King seemed to be satisfied, but the Kuffar got furious. As a final assault, they asked the King to inquire what theses Muslims had to say about Christ. They did so because they knew that Christians and Muslims had different opinions about Jesus. It was then that Hazrat Ja'fer Tayyaar recited the following verses of the ? Chapter (Chapter Maryam) in Arabic, translated as:
